Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can severe Stomach Bloating Along With Gastritis Be Treated?
I am having excessive gas and bloating and my stomach is distended. I had my gall bladder taken out 4 years ago and I m 64 years old. I also have a small bruise on my left side that comes and goes and I really don t know what is causing it. Thank you.
Bruise on the left side may be an injury that you didn't notice . As far as removal of Gall Bladder is concerned, I think your doctor must've prohibited all the fatty foods from your diet. If you are still taking them, decrease and finally stop them. You can also try a Urea breath test or Serology for H pylori-an organism that resides in stomach and causes Gastritis and flatulence. The treatment is simple -with Augmentin, Clarithromycin and Omeprazole. As you need a prescription for these, please contact your GP . It is a 2 weeks' course and for a long time the problem will be solved, Godspeed!
